Event Description
Join Dave Shrimpton, British Journal of Photography "Portrait of Britain" winner 2023, as he recreates his photographic studio, in Honeywood Museum. Gain insight into historic photographic practices and learn about the glass plate photography techniques he will be using to capture the Sutton Community Award winners for our archives.
Dave will be demonstrating his practice in real time and as well as answering questions from visitors on the art and science of wet plate photography while he works. There will be an opportunity to see examples from the David Knights-Whittome historic glass plate negative collection in the Edwardian billiard room.
