Event Description

Sutton New Town was, and still is, a distinct urban and suburban development from the mid-Victorian period, which retains much of its residential stock. Local historian Andrew Skelton will take you on a short walk around the streets of the New Town, explaining its development and looking at its architecture, including the famous 'Bottle House' on the corner of Vernon and William Roads and its late-Victorian and Edwardian creator, George Wilks.
