Elklan - Let's Talk

If you are concerned about your child’s communication, language or learning, and would like some practical, easy-to-use ideas to support them at home, then the Let’s Talk course is for you.

Let’s Talk is an Elklan-accredited course, designed by speech and language therapy specialists and delivered by a trained Elklan tutor. Elklan courses are widely used in schools and settings across the UK to support children’s speech, language and communication development in fun, practical ways.

This course will provide you with:

Simple, effective tips to encourage your child’s speech, language and communication.

Coaching and guidance

Visual reminders of each tip, plus activity ideas to try at home with your child

Let’s Talk runs over 7 one-hour, play based sessions for you and your child to attend together. Sessions are relaxed, supportive and fun, helping you build confidence while learning strategies you can use every day.

The course covers a wide range of topics, including:

Welcome – getting to know the group and settling in

Together Time – top tips to encourage more talking

Word Time – helping your child learn new words

Talk Time – developing your child’s sentences

Story Time – creating stories your child can join in with

Top Talker – celebrating progress and success
