Event Concluded

Event Description

Join the BFBG and the Farmland Warden for a day of events - The Beddington Big Day. This birding tour is the second of six site tours of the day celebrating the biodiversity of this unique London Nature Reserve.

Two hours after dawn chorus, bird song has reduced a little and it can be easier to differentiate between species by focusing in on a song or two. BFBG members will lead a walk, collecting the fading songs of the dawn and talk about the array of other species found on site.

Beddington Farmlands is a ‘work in progress’ so attendees must be confident on their feet and wear sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven and broken in many places. Pumps, flip flops etc will be turned away. It can get cold at the top so dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions. No facilities, No under 18s.

The meeting location will be Mile Road Gate at the mid point of the Farmlands Permissive Path - ///spray.park.spider. Do not head to the Beddington Park Pavillion.
