Event Description
Eyes on the skies as mid day approaches on the lookout for birds feeding on the wing or riding high on the thermals.
Join the BFBG and the Farmland Warden for a day of events - The Beddington Big Day. This birding tour is the fourth of six site tours of the day celebrating the biodiversity of this unique London Nature Reserve. Members of the BFBG will guide you on an ornithological excursion with ears finely attuned to the sounds of yellow wagtails, meadow pipits and swallows passing overhead.
Beddington Farmlands is a ‘work in progress’ so attendees must be confident on their feet and wear sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven and broken in many places. Pumps, flip flops etc will be turned away. It can get cold at the top so dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions. No facilities, No under 18s.
The meeting location will be Mile Road Gate at the mid point of the Farmlands Permissive Path - ///spray.park.spider. Do not head to the Beddington Park Pavillion.
