Birds of Beddington 3 - Beddington Big Day

Be on the lookout for waders, waterfowl and hirundines on the final tour of the Beddington Big Day. 

Join the BFBG and the Farmland Warden for a day of events - The Beddington Big Day. This birding tour is the last of six site tours of the day celebrating the biodiversity of this unique London Nature Reserve. Many of the passerines stopped singing hours ago and midday brings the opportunity to focus on the songs whitetroats, skylarks, the occasional blackcap and to focus on what can be seen in the lakes and wet grassland habitat. 

Beddington Farmlands is a ‘work in progress’ so attendees must be confident on their feet and wear sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven and broken in many places. Pumps, flip flops etc will be turned away. It can get cold at the top so dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions. No facilities, No under 18s. 

The meeting location will be Mile Road Gate at the mid point of the Farmlands Permissive Path - ///spray.park.spider. Do not head to the Beddington Park Pavillion.
