Discover the butterflies of Beddington Farmlands on this guided walk of the site’s lepidoptera hotspots.
Join the Beddington Farmlands Bird Group and the Farmland Warden for a day of events - The Beddington Big Day. This butterfly walk is the fifth of six site tours celebrating the biodiversity of this unique London Nature Reserve. On this early season walk we will aim to see as many species as possible and discover the secrets of those yet to take flight.
Beddington Farmlands is a ‘work in progress’ so attendees must be confident on their feet and wear sturdy shoes as the terrain is uneven and broken in many places. Pumps, flip flops etc will be turned away. It can get cold at the top so dress warmly and appropriately for the weather conditions. No facilities, No under 18s.
The meeting location will be Mile Road Gate at the mid point of the Farmlands Permissive Path - ///spray.park.spider. Do not head to the Beddington Park Pavillion.
