Event Description
Join Sutton 0–19 Children’s Services and the Best Start Family Hubs for a special day out! Bring your teddy, your lunch, and a cosy blanket, and enjoy a fun-filled picnic packed with FREE activities to help your child get ready for school.
Expect bubbles, hoops, bean bags, crafts, and Rhymetime sessions – all designed for little learners and their grown-ups to enjoy together.
Get friendly support and advice on school readiness while the kids play and explore.
This event is weather permitting, so check here or our Facebook page on the morning of the event for updates.
Our Best Start Family Hubs services are restricted to those living in the London Borough of Sutton only. Our sessions are very popular and we want to prioritise those living in the borough. If you are unsure what your local area offers please do not hesitate to contact us and we will signpost you to your nearest service.

To make the most of your Teddy Bear Picnic, don’t forget to pack:
🧴 Suncream (if it’s sunny)
💧 A water bottle
👒 A sun hat
🥪 Your own lunch/snacks
🧺 A blanket to sit on
🧸 And of course… your teddy bear!
