Event Description
Is your child learning to read? Whether they are a confident reader or just setting out on their journey, having a reading buddy can make it more fun and incentivise them to keep reading for pleasure.
Sutton Council have partnered with Sutton Grammar School to have sixth form students volunteer to read or be read to by younger children and to help them with their phonics and comprehension in a fun way.
Each child will get a star on the Reading Buddy chart as they progress and learn to love reading.
Sign up now and you can get a free copy of Gruffalo Granny to keep when you attend your first Reading Buddy session.
For children aged 3+
There will be twenty minute slots from 1.30pm-3pm. Please register for a free ticket and we will contact you to arrange a time that works best for you.
