Portraits of the South

Event Description

This innovative public art trail showcases double exposure photographic portraits of local people on 15 benches along the length of the High Street, as well as in the St Nicholas Way underpass between All Bar One and Wetherspoons. The photographs link via QR codes to recorded interviews which focus on themes of the past, present and future of Sutton.

Created by Abi Partington-Moran as part of the 'Then Now Next' photographic commissions unveiled in Autumn/Winter 2023 within Sutton STEAMs Ahead. Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and a Cultural Impact Award as part of the Mayor of London's London Borough of Culture programme.
