Looking for a calm, supportive space designed with your child’s needs in mind?
The Sensory Room at the Carshalton Best Start Family Hub offers a safe, welcoming environment specially suited for children with SEND and their families. With gentle lighting, soothing sounds, and interactive sensory equipment, it’s a space where your child can feel comfortable, engaged, and free to explore at their own pace.
Benefits of our sensory room:
Helps reduce anxiety and overwhelm, supports emotional regulation and calming, encourages communication and interaction, builds confidence through safe exploration and provides a peaceful space to relax and reset.
45-minute sessions available
Exclusive use – one family at a time
Advance booking required
We kindly request limiting sessions to one per week per family to ensure access for multiple families across the borough.

Our Best Start Family Hub services are restricted to those living in the London Borough of Sutton only. Our sessions are very popular and we want to prioritise those living in the borough. If you are unsure what your local area offers please do not hesitate to contact us and we will signpost you to your nearest service.
